Sooo wack.

I have been struggling with the 10mm allen head that holds on the steering wheel. finally ended up rounding the head off so now im really screwed.. the bolt has the word ribe etched in it. not thinking anything of it i continued to try and loosen the rediculousy tight bolt. i rounded the head off and after searching online how to remove a stripped allen, i figure out that, ribe the word on the bolt is an actual drill bit that is supposed to be used for the removal of that bolt.. anyone know where i can find a set of ribe drill bits?? and for any of you attempting to remove your steering wheel its not recomended using a 10mm allen.. just spend the extra money on the bits. you will save your self a lot of stress in th long run...

The 10 mm hex head works fine and that is what MB tech's use as well.

There is something called "leverage" that comes into play when removing this bolt. I bet you used a regular socket wrench, right? If you would of added a 2 foot section of 1" copper pipe to the end of your socket wrench, you would of never had the problem you did.

yeah i definitly tried a leverage bar... but thanks man. took it to the dealership today and asked one of the guys if they could try to loosen it up for me.. the MB dealership tech was not even able to get it loose with his Snap on air impact wrench. it just stripped right out.. so now my only hope is to drill the bolt out.. this should be fun...
