Will this Smart key work?
I am looking at picking up an inexpensive remote off of Ebay and was wondering if it will work in my 01 CLK. It is from an 05 S class.

Im almost certaing that it will not work. I had this conversation with my service guy last week and he explained to me that it could not be done, but the dealer here is is strictly by the book. I'd be curious to hear what others have to say.

Yes, that style of key will work, so will the new chrome keys. BUT, there is no way to reprogram a used key, so if you need a new key, you need to purchase a new, unprogrammed one.
