Options

You have a few options available. One method would be to replace your trim with a metallic kit. A cost effective alternative would be be to remove your trim, sand it and paint it a metallic color (final coat of clear). A lot of the show cars actually have painted trim. Good luck.

ach7ung,
If you don't mind the drive, there's a shop down in Huntington Beach that has painted the trim for a bunch of Euros, you could ask about your car. Email me if you would like the contact info.

Actually the most cost effective way is to remove the parts and apply vinyl over those parts. If you know what you are doing it wouldn't be that hard, if not then paint it. Painting is probably easier.

The shop in Huntington Beach, CA is called A One Autobody. This shop does more than autobody work. Your point of contact is Wayne at 714 848-3001. He's a very humble guy whose work has been in all the major Euro magazines (European Car, Eurotuner, etc.) and major car venues like SEMA, Hot Import Nights and Neowerkes.

Let him know that Derek Chang referred you. Say I posted on MBworld that A-One can take the existing wood trim, prep, paint it with a metallic coat and finish it with a clear coat.

His shop has experience in doing almost any mod for your vehicle. He's worked with mods from Evoport, Brabus, Carlsson, Opera, AMG, etc for MBs and Hamann, AC Schnitzer, Racing Dynamics, Hartge etc for BMWs. From simple work like rolling fenders through complete widebody projects, they can do it all.

Let me know how it works out.
