My pipes were made with race grade steel by a relatively new company in the Uk.
I needed new Cats because one was rattling so I chose to do away with them.
At pull away and high revs the car is louder but is quiet at motorway cruise speeds!
I have a 3in pipe from the headers to the back box (right hand drive cars can't get headers).
It's a bit windy so the sound isn't right but here it is:

well anyways i finally got the cats done........ factory cats .....both left and rite ......left side cat cost 550.00 and the rite side cat 310.00....no more check engine lite!!!! thats a blessing lol....also had to replace gas pedal position sensor ...cost 145.00. ....and two exhaust seals...came out to 1475.40 with taxes so yea .....at least i dont have to drive around with that brite yellow lite in my face always tellin me something is wrong with my car....what relief lol next week im deleting my resonator and puttin magnaflow exhaust at midas for 600 bucks.....not bad?
Mine does the exact same thing, but I happened to have it hooked up to a live data scanner once and it said my pedal sensor circuit high, so I wonder if the foot pedal sensor needs replaced

My E420’s main cats died about nine months ago. I know the M119 is a different engine but want to give my $0.02. I cut them out and threw away the muffler and resonator. Only time it’s really loud is cold start, hard acceleration, +90 mph (when I like hearing the engine most). I can drive around the city with the windows down and have a conversation without yelling.
