ESP and ASR?

I have ASR instead of ESP in my CLK. Whats the difference between the 2? is one better then the other?

ASR(automatic slip resistance) is a traction control module, where as ESP is electronic stability program which also controls slippage due to understeer/oversteer. ESP is just ASR with the ability to prevent you from running off the road (hypothetically).
