tow a clk 430
guys I need help? my clk430 was just recently towed, and up on its return, I realized the engine light has turned on. And the tow truck company does not want to take responsibility for the damages. They had not jimmy open the doors, and they must have dragged the vehicle for some distance. I wonder what might have triggered the engine light on.

AFAIK it's a big no no to tow an automatic with the rear wheels (in the benz's case) running on the ground. Of course the towing company should know this and not tow it in this way, and i am sure that they did consider that..

If they towed it from the front with the rear tires on the ground then they could have caused some damage. Not sure if it would cause the check engine light to come on though.
