~ Haunted CLK Cab ~
Things have been disappearing out of the trunk of our car. And I'm not talking about your typical theft items too...
A few months ago, I was cleaning the interior and put the passenger footrest area storage net in the trunk. I forgot about until a few days later, then went back to the truck to find it. The net went missing. Now I distinctly remember putting it in the trunk so it certainly didn't sprout legs and walk away. No big deal I thought, maybe I accidently threw it away.
Then on Monday morning, I got in the car and pulled the retractable top button... nothing! So since my mechanic is 3 blocks from my office, I dropped it off there. He told me that a 3 ft long plastic cover went missing. This plastic cover tells the computer that there's enough space in the trunk to retract the top. To demonstrate, he put his hand over the space and the top worked fine. This plastic cover isn't something that is easily lost, or would just fall off.
My mechanic asked if maybe a valet guy stole it, but I figured the valet would have also stolen my fiance's expensive jacket and my helmet in the car. Why would he care about a plastic trim piece.
So I'm thinking of calling a seance for the car.... anybody care to join me?
