P0141 Code on Check Engine Light

Help Please! This code means that an oxygen sensor needs to be replaced. I reset the check engine light with my Scangauge. The thing is though...the check engine light doesnt come back on right away when I turn the car back on. Ill use the car the next day...no check engine light. But the day after that...the check engine light (P0141) returns. Its very random.

Btw, my gas mileage isnt suffering...everything is normal.

Do you think it needs to be replaced?

Yes

If its throwing the code it needs to be replaced. We all rely on the car's comp to tell us when things are going wrong. I didnt notice any suffering to my car's performance for the rear O2's but I changed them anyway cause leaving these types of things unattended could lead to larger problems.

Larger problems leads to more $$$

Hi,
I think you have fixed this problem.
But if in future you face Check Engine Light again.
Just visit : http://checkenginecode.com/flashing_check_engine.html

I am hoping that it is fixed...on our 208s that codes reading O2 sensors usually is a bad MAF...do some searches.

P-0141

Have the same problem. Start with Changing the sensor ( Passenger side, closest to the tail pipe )

Make sure that any oil spills are cleaned; especially the connector clipped to the transmission pan, any oil spill will collect here.

Check the transmission mount to see if its worn. A worn transmission mount will allow the transmission to move when accelerating. This new movement also moves the pan pulling on the sensor connector causing an intermittent P-0141 or P-0136 code.

Hope this helps.

I know this is mad old but could a leak in the rear main seal cause this code to pop?
