In the CLK55 forum there is a thread posted by E55 KEV about a company www.powerchipgroup.com that has a chip for the CLK430 that produces gains of 19 HP for $990

I've never heard of a chip that promises this much increase in our cars...
I've signed up for more information and waiting for 1 of thier reps to contact me.
I would wait and see what kind of promise he can give me in regards to the power increase...
But i would not hold my breath...

00 CLK 320
I just applied for the information to be sent to me. I am trying to get a chip for my 00 320 CLK. Does anyone have any idea how this will affect the warranty of the car and what other modifications will need to be made if I purchase one of these chips. IE intake, pipes or something like that. I am really trying to find something that helps me shift a little smoother with my sport shifting and eliminates some of the flat spots.

So who will be the guinea pig and do before and after dyno runs? I've experimented with chips that promise 25hp gains on the CLK430. I had NO GAINS. Most chip companies all get their software from the same source in Europe. I haven't tested powerchip, so I can't comment directly on their software, but I would be suprised to see gains of 19HP.
Again, this brings up my question (not to you THEINE), why spend $1,000 for a chip that MAY provide gains at the expense of your engine, when you can spend $499 for pulleys that will provide the same gains with NO RISK?
