Front ball joints worn
Guys, just had a service and I was told the front lower ball joints had worn. I have it booked in and may be able to get it done as a warranty repair but I am shocked it needs doing at 20k miles.
I have had the Kleemann shocks and springs on for 7k miles so wonder if that has caused the problem.
Common issue?

Lower ball joints are just that- spherical joints with a range of motion far exceeding any plausable suspension geometry.
Stiffer springs and shocks will transmit more shock to these compressive components. I have 3 KLEEMANN cars- one with 62K miles on the clock- 55K on KLEEMANN suspension with no suspension service required during this time.
If your lower ball joints can be compressed with water pump pliers and a visible range of motion, they are in need of replacement. I would ask the question about what kind of roads you drive on? Rough and bumpy? 20K is a short life- but look at other possibilities other than the shocks and springs.

Thanks m8, that's good info especially when I start the discussion with the service agent.
With regard to road conditions, not good in the area where I live which played heavy on my mind when I was considering te kleemann shocks and springs. Could be a factor no doubt.
