Drivers side wing mirrors.wrong connections....CLK 320...

Good evening all,

CLK 320 W208...

So, my auto dimming drivers side wing mirror failed the other week - water, I guess.

So, got a new part, wasn't the expensive all dancing, all singing version, but still the heated variant....

Sorry if this has been asked many times, and it may be me being stoooopid, however..

Old wing mirror had a circular connector which accepted a 4 pin plug - my guess is that one half works the auto dim and the other half works the heating element.....

well, the new mirror only has 2 spade connectors (no circular connection) - question - which of the wires on the connector (4 in total) should be cut and wired onto the connectors on the mirror to give heat....

your thoughts please....

For the replacement mirrors you somply just connect the heated spade connectors and leave the auto dim tucked inside.

Spade connectors?

Thanks for the reply. When I took the old one off I don't remember seeing any spade connectors, just a 4 pin plug? I'll have another look this weekend, but I think that's what the user who started this thread found too.
