AC problem :(
I have a w208 CLK 430 and the EC light is on. The AC is not working and I read that the freon needs a recharge usually.
So I take my car down to the auto, actually my wife did, and they say the AC compressor won't come on!!!??? So they can charge it.
The shop told her that it may be a fuse???
Does that sound right? Or do I need to be looking on Ebay for a new compressor?????
Reason I ask: I had problems with my front drivers seat going forward and changed the fuse and it worked OK for a bit but then it started blowing out the fuses and the Techs at the MBZ dealership fianlly took mercy upon me and just gave me a new motor............

So if you guys could give me some input. ANY would be much appreciated!!!
Here's the thread on where to locate it:

If you have a multimeter, measure across the leads of the sensor, you should read >450 ohms in you read nothing then its blown.
A quick fix would be to go to your local radio shack and buy a 99 cent 1K ohm resistor and plug it in the connector (bend both the ends of the resistor to make it fit) start your car turn the AC on to 72 degrees and the compressor should kick on.
The Mech should be able to charge the system with this temp fix.
Autohausaz has the part for $44.99
Hope this helps,
