Need Help Advise Identifying this hose!
I removed the Airbox today to just take a look and give her a rinse.
I noticed a cracked hose on the right rear of engine, just above the airbox connection bumper. When I give it some gas It blows air through. (see pics for location / not the mesh hose with metal screw fastener but the rubber hose). Can anyone tell me what this hose if for?
The other end of the hose connects directly beneath the Air Mass Sensor plug on the side of the Air Mass Sensor housing where the tube below elbows.
Is it the breather hose?
Thanks for the help as always!

Thats one of your vacum lines. if disconnected the engine won't idle right i would recomend changing it asap. I had the same issue with my 320 and it was an easy fix on mine it wasn't the hose but it was the plastic connector that conects it to the engine. The other side of the hose should be connected to the elbow that conects the MAF to the throttle body. very easy fix no more than 5 minutes. just buy the hose and pop the old one out with some WD-40 and put the new one in.

I dont see this hose he is talking about??? Can someone edit it with an arrow so that I can see where it is located please. I would also like to check my hose as well to make sure that its not cracked either. The car is about to be 10 years old so I like to keep up on the maintenance as best as I can.

Here is the hose in question.
circled in Red. I believe it is the larger of two crankcase breather hoses.?
Thanks for taking a look.
