Remember this CLK?

Just thought I'd throw this one out there for all those who shared an opinion, whether positive or negative about the car:

Well, it is up for sale on ebay.... although i'm not sure it will ever sell at that price:.................

With the original W208 CLK look:

With its updated R230 SL look:

Take away the white grill and the inlets on the front fenders, and the new look is actually pretty nice. Without seeing the car, I am still not endorsing it, based on it's past look

is this Mercedes? It looks like Mercedes, but more likely to be Honda.

The post at ebay says its the only supercharged clk 430 pushing out 455 HP. What about sleestack? Mach, you are also close to that now arn't you?

Yeah it looks really ricey. Besides, I would get really cramped in the trunk watching that TV. I'd get confused in the backseat, too. Should I look at the headrests or the one behind me?

Top speed unknown? Well with all the extra weight from the sound system stuff and drag from the widebody kit, I'm guessin about 100, anyone else?

Way too flashy for my tastes. One of the things I love about my CLK is it's stealthy.

But some love that look - more power to 'em.

I wonder what the reserve is if $65K didn't meet it?

Controversy

One could easily say that a lot of ClK's on the forum have more than their share of mod's not needed. Some celebrate when someone puts on a new mod while others condemn and for some it's a double standard. Learn to appreciate others tastes and not be swayed by one or two board personalities. Overall I like it , wouldn't do it to mine but I do appriciate the design. It gives us CLKers a range from conservative to extravagant.

Thumbs up

Ive met the guy who owns it, very cool guy, i really like the car, its different, not your average CLK. and it is a constant show winner, so why not. Stefan, werent you going to buy this? I think you should cop it, and take the ML and tow it. That would look sooooooooooooooooooo hot! That would be a show winner, put 22" matching rims on the trailer. That would look dope! I like it the CLK! I would buy it.
