So how much more performance gains are we talking about?
What do you recommend? Any pipe cover?

Let me know how it goes. Will headers take away from the low end? I'm putting some money aside.
Probably won't be as noticable with all the mods you currently have.

Hi Will.

Great pictures.

At the beginng of your thread the pictures have been removed. Are these some of them or are they different?

Also where does your car actually take the air from and what filters are you using?

On the 55 forum they posted a pair of Ram air piping and filters similar to your set up but the filters end in front of the factory air way behind the grille. Is there a reason why you did it your way?

Any pics of the size and shape of your filter? I'm trying to get a good set up on my car..

I was reorganizing my Photobucket account which is why those links were removed. I just posted a few pictures. I will post more for you to see later.
The setup uses a dry filter which sits down behind the diffuser of the front bumper. A good friend of mine made it for me last month. If you want one let me know.

99CLK320,
intake

Don't post here often but I concour with Will. I have the same intake on my 320 and I am very pleased with the performance improvement, especially crusing at highway speeds. The engine sound is awesome when you stand on it. I would like to hear some more feedback on the heat shiedling material if anyone has applied it to there intake.

99CLK320,
DIY

find someone who has this mod in your area and duplicate the diameters, lengths, angles, etc. I don't know where to tell you to start as far as fabricating the materials. vipclk320 may still have one for sale so send him a pm if you want to buy one from him.
