Carlsson spings/dampeners/spring pads

I am wondering how difficult it is to swap out spring pads? I have the Carlsson spings/dampeners (but won't install them until this spring-after the snow is finished!) and am wondering if I should order sets of the different sizes of spring pads in case I do not like the ride height. But if it requires going back to the shop to and a few hours of labor just to see how they look...it may not be worth the effort. Just curious.

Thanks!

The spring pads are not something you can just switch out easily, you have to remove the springs to get to them (ie, do the entire install process again)

Today after Kleeman installed my new suspension they took my car to the dealer to get it aligned. The dealer found that the pads sizes needed to be changed (Every car is different). It took about four to five hours, with alignment. It costs around $400.00.

Thanks for the replies. I have another question then: I cannot seem to locate the "bumps" on my spring pads to figure out which ones I have. I've tried looking into the wheel well and see nothing resembling "bumps."

Any help here is greatly appreciated!

Each car is different. Typically the 430 has a size 4 in front and size 3 in rear. I changed mine to a 2/1 combo. Keep in mind, that changing the spring pads does affect the ride comfort. The spring pad rests on top of the spring in the perch, and cushions force between the spring and spring perch. The smaller it is, the less cushioning you have.

You may be able to see yours by:
Remove your wheel
Locate the Spring
Look inside the spring at the top for a rubber pad
The bumps are on the pad.

You will only need to check 1 per axle.

Thank you Ben, I'll try removing the wheel for better access!
