Thinking about buying a CLK430 - PICS
So i found a good deal on a 2001 CLK 430 and I'm thinking about pulling the trigger.
It's Magma Red w/ Ash Interior, birdseye maple trim, and has 110K miles, asking price is $9950. Paint and interior are in great shape. The car appears stock, but has K&N filters.
I'm aware of transmission issues with the 430s occurring around 100K miles, and the normal shakes and rattles which were ubiquitous in my 98 clk320, but i have heard got better around 01-02.
My question is, what other issues should i check for? I've searched for a buying guide but havent found one. Also, regarding the K&N filters, when I was in the M3, I heard of MAFs getting messed up by the oil in the filters, is this a similar issue with the 430?

Looks good and the price sounds great. I heard alot of people say that about the k&n if you decide to purchase you can always switch to the green filters which I know alot of people have. I know you should check the motor mounts hopefully marcus f or some of the more experiance guys will chime in and help
