Much Thanks for helping with BAS ESP ABS no brake light on 2000 clk320
After much skpetism I bought a 2000 clk 320 last week. It seemd to be in Mint condition but after a few days the ABS ESP ABS lights came on and the brake lights stopped working. I was directed here by a friend at work and after looking at a few threads, I found that many people have this issue and that the Brake Lamp Switch was bad. I didn't even know my break lights were not working till I read the past threads and found that someone mentioned it. I went to the MB dealer before work, bought a switch for $29 and siwtched it out at work during my lunch break and it works just fine, all lights went out on the cluster and the break lamps now work. KUDOS to MB WORLD Forums. You guys saved me an expensive trip to the dealer service center.

I am glad you got this (common) problem fixed. Make it a common website that you visit espescially the DIY section and you will learn many thing about your new CLK that will save you tons of money in the future.
