My car wont start!

So my car has been sitting on jack stands for the past month and a half because i smashed into a curb at about 45. long story short my car wont start now. I have started it a few times while it was on the jack stands. but while i was letting it run it shut off on me and hasnt started since. it has a quarter tank of gas and its on level ground and i figured it would start right up... It didnt! I have a code reader and no codes came up at all. and i called roadside assistance and tried the fuel pump reset. Nothing!!! any help would be great. I want my car back!!!!!

Did you hit anything underneath? Any scraping of the bottom of the car?

OGCLK320,

Check your parking cutoff switch, move your shifter back and forth then try starting your car. The same thing happened to me last week, I found out that my shifter wasn't fully forward and not engaging the switch. After I found out what it was I adjusted the throw bar by the transmission so the switch would always be made when in park.

Hope this helps,

Rusty

Yes i did scrape the bottom my oil pan was cracked in the incident. but the car was started after the accident. it almost seemed as if it ran out of gas while it was running on the jack stands. i didnt really think anything of it. i have a quarter tankk still and i figured the gas should still make it to the motor. is there something i should be looking for underneath the car?

ps. i will try moving my gear shifter. thanks for your help guys. anything else is very much appreciated.
