Exclamation Fuel schrader valve?

Does anyone know where this is exactly located on a 320? My car has been out of commission for sometime now and needs some help. I found what i thought was it. it looked like a large tire pressure valve and i unscrewed a metal gold cap to get to it. it seemed like it came off the fuel rail on top of the motor. but i wasnt positive. my car cranks but doesnt start. i just want to be positive its the fuel pump and not the CPS or spark plugs or something. There was no pressure at the line i checked and i had the key turned to the on position.Fuel should spray out if the fuel pump was working right? sorry for this being so long. any help is appreciated. i just want my car back! P.s. How long do you think it takes for fuel to go bad in southern california?
