I got a loaner car just for bringing in my clk to have the seat fixed....I got a w203 c240.....
I just had to transfer my insurance onto the car and there was no other costs involed to me....
It might help if you call ahead and book a car because they might not have a loaner for you in stock..

Loaner

No doubt the process varies from dealer to dealer. I have gotten a number of different cars, ML, E, and C class. There is no cost involved, but I would check to see that your insurance transfers over. My dealer used to be very liberal about loaners, until the wait for one was about a month. Mind you, they have a fleet of nearly forty MB loaners. At one point they decided to only give out loaners to customers who had purchased their cars from them and the wait became about two weeks. I would guess that the time involved in the repair might be a factor. If a repair can be completed very quickly they might ask you to wait.

I'd agree - it seems to vary widely by dealer.

My dealer has a fleet of MB loaners, but suplements them with renatls from Hertz. So you can always get a loaner, but it might not be a MB.

My dealer doesn't have loaner cars. :-(
So, when I had my car repaired, they just offer me a small Ford, I forgot what Ford it was. I demanded better car, but then they said you are still under age and you can only have this small car.
Because I was in a hurry, I took the car first. Then I complained about the loaner car to my salesman; He was the sales manager. I was then called to get back to the dealer and swap the FORD with the SAAB....
much better...:-)
