Problem at the pump. Gas fills to only halfway
At the pump it cuts off about half tank due to overflow.

2000 CLK430
It sounds like the tank might be physically full and the fuel sending unit sensor is bad and therefore showing that you only have half a tank.

Ran the tank to 0.2 gallon left and now it fills up all the way, odd.
Last 3 times it only filled up half way.

May have been a blockage in the crossover?? did you ever try tapping on both tanks to see if both sides were filling?

the cross over between the small aux tank?

I went to a older pump station and it filled to full no problems.
Older pumps don't stop as easily to gas fumes?
