I used a 3M paste wax, and believe it or not, only 1 coat!! I have never seen results like this, I used to do Mothers 3-stage on my truck, and it never looked this good - that could be attributed to the quality of MB paint.

Next, my brother wants to try P21S, it is supposed to give great results as well, possibly better than Zaino......let the flaming begin!!

CLK 320
MB paint is thin and has terrible orange peel. I don't know that I can stand by the statement that it might be because of the quality of paint. On the first CLK320 I had there was a drip in the paint on the passenger side in front of the rear wheel. I was rear ended and the shop that did the work said that they tried their best to match my orange peel. He said that it is a shame but that the only MB's he sees that don't have orange peel are ones that have been repainted. I think it was the wax you used. I will have to try some. I use Griot's best of show wax and the claybar occasionally but usually end up using 3M hand glaze. I usually have to do this after getting the car back from the dealer when it has swirl marks from them washing it. I always tell them not to wash it but it comes back washed!!

That is very true! I had just bought my CLK a couple of months ago and as I was checking out my paint from an angle, I noticed the orange peels.... right away I was pissed and thought I bought a car that was involved in an accident and was poorly repainted. but a couple of days later I saw a brand new ML and looked at the paint to find out it was the same ole' ****.

Perhaps this question is more appropriate for the Detailing forum... but when is the best time of the year to wax your car?

I've heard some people tell me once at end of Winter (rainy season) and once at the end of Summer.

Whats your insight? Or should I just wax it every 3-4 months?

Yeah, I've heard the same thing, I would imagine it wouldn't be very wise to wax in the middle of the summer, too much heat and humidity.

You can wax

every day if you want, especially for you women with thick mustaches Just kidding but you can wax your car very frequently as long you are not under direct sunlight.
