What is in our trunk?
What are all the electronic components behind our rear seats/in the trunk hidden underneath black plastic? What are they for and is any of it essential to the car?

The amp for the sound system is back there as is the body control module which controls central locking. There's also a fuse panel around the spare tire well. Euro cars might also have a TV tuner. Probably other stuff as well, but that's what comes to mind immediately.
