clk full lock BIG problem.

hello i have clk 2.3k on a 1999 plate.recently put a pirelli p zero 225 35 19 on the passenger front and when i full lock on a right turn going slow it will judder and like slip out real bad.also my tyres are all being eaten on the inside but still loads of tread left on the outer of the tyre.was loving the car when i bought it drove mint.now it follows the crown in the road and is all over the place.please please help.also could someone tell me what bits i need to buy i have just replaced track rod ends ,is there any bushes that are likely to be gone????????.cheers peops

sounds like the camber is out of alignment. has the car been lowered? if so you may need to add adjustable camber bolts to the front end so the camber can be adjusted to the proper alignment.

could also just be tracking is out, the roads are really bad these days with the cold weather in the UK

Its common problem for CLK, espec for lowered ones. I personally like my -3 degree negative camber. Shame that the tires dont last long...

Camber bolt kits are way expensive..but i have frend who makes them custom for race cars. He said that if id like he could make me a set for 200EUR.

if your wheels just sort of "flop over" that's usually a sign you need to replace your tie-rod assembly, steering damper & lower ball joints, that will really help tighten up most of your front suspension. It will make a world of a difference on an old W208.
