Which sway bars are good with Eibach springs and koni shocks
I have Eibach and Koni spring/shock setup anyone know what the best sway bar would be? what kind of differences do I feel with new sway bars? is it ever dangerous to have stiffer sway bars?

AS FAR AS I CAN TELL YOU HAVE 4 CHOICES...
my own koni's dont arrive till next week so i cant comment just yet but i have the eibachs same as you.
1 keep it standard.. lotsof body roll
2 use eibach anti roll kit.. firms it up nicely £300 ish in uk
3 use amg 55 bars £170 for fr and £80 r from my local dealer..
(im still trying to find out if i need anything other than the bars like bushes etc - help appreciated)
4 i think renntech does some thicker bars but unsure on cost etc..
i think i am going to try the amg front bar first and see what happen..
if you get the car too stiff it will understeer...

I just went to a local shop and asked about the sway bars for the 430. They offered me Eibach bars with 28mm F and 30mm R. Is it about right? If my memory serves me correctly, the CLK55 bars are only 28mm F and 18mm R.
Thanks

im suprised if you need the sway bars... i was considering putting the 55 bars on my car... but having driven it with the konis on their hardest setting and with std eibach springs it seems to handle fine.. i think the thicker bars may make it understeer...
my car has no back seats and boot trim any more since i fitted the bucket seats. this saves over 100kgs and makes the rear a little light but oversteer not understeer is the usual result.

OK, the eibach sway bars are the CLK55 sway bars... Eibach makes them. The CLK55 sway bars are not cheaper, but since Eibach no longer sells them publically, your only option for Eibach/CLK55 sway bars would be to purchase the CLK55 bars. Both are the same, the only difference is the additional $200 Mercedes charges.

Ben: thanks for the reply. I remember you mentioned earlier that the CLK 55 bars are 28mmF and 18mmR. These eibach bars has 28mmF and 30mmR. If you think that the 55 bars make your car runs almost perfect, how do you think this thicker rear Eibach bar (30mm) would affect the handling?
Thanks,
Solihin

Eibach does not make a 30mm rear bar for the CLK. They used to make a 28F/18R, but that is no longer offered. The only way to get these now is to buy the CLK55 bars (which are eibachs).

yes there is sway bar for CLK430 also the 320 and 430 are both the same. The Eibach sway bar is not adjustable. I m paying around 1k CND with installing it, is hard to install the sway bar at the rear i think.

Tery....
...Brabus told you that the CLK Swaybars are adjustable? When I called them to order a set, they told me that they 27 MM up front and 38 MM in the back......I thought that was crazy and had them double check. When he came back to the phone he apologized and said that they are identical to the CLK55 bars.....same size and fitment......not adjustable.
what were you told? Can you help?
thanks

i order my Brabus sway bar this week tell you what i think 6 to 8 weeks later heheheh
............Not to add to the confusion. the fastes way to get sway bars for CLk is to order Renntech sway bars which are thicker than the CLK55/Eibach bars but cost $900. I got mine in one week. I don't the mimension of the MKB bars, but I do not think there are other bars readily available other than the CLK55 bars which are being sold by different vendors under different names.

now I am really confused......I called Renntech and they told me that they were out of them and were thinking to discontinue them entirely. I then called Oberklasse and was told that it would take 8 weeks to bring theirs in. When I asked them whether the MKB and Renntech were the same.....he simply replied, "let's just say we get them from the same place." Well, I ordered the CLK55 bars but probably would have preferred the Renntech/MKB bars.

...................I had my Renntech sway bars installed one month ago by Donnie Drommond at MBautowerks.com. He ordered the bars from Rentech and they arrived in one week. Feel free to contact Donnie and see if how he did it. As far as I know, no special arrangements needed to be made to procure the bars.
