Look what I found in my Trans. pan. What is it?
Should I expect a catastrophic failure,
or a slow death ?

Finished Trans./TC flush today. Trans. was virgin, 100,572 miles.

Found this one big piece, non-magnetic.
Also found about 10 little specs too small to collect.
Here's a pic of the big boy:

Millions of comedians are starving to death all over the world, and your throwing away perfectly good jokes. Oh, the humanity.

Guess again.
Maybe graphite?

OK. So, it's been two tries, and you've missed the obvious.
The clever answer is not asphalt or meteorite,
but there is a joke here--one that fits like a glove.
A classic simplicity--a Stan and Ollie misdirection.
A joke form that is as old as the hills
It's been staring you in the face,
and you've missed it.

Oh no, you're serious about the asphalt?
Here's a clue:
Heated shop, concrete floor, lift, pan wiped before job, set into catch basin, emptied into towel screen, debris caught in towel, no asphalt within 200 feet. I poured it onto the towel myself and saw the piece flow onto the towel. This item was in the pan.

When I suggested "graphite", it is because after the initial post I read that some of the friction components in the 722.623 contained graphite. Would like some sort of confirmation from someone in the know. Seems that none of us is in the know, but, so what, the responses have been pretty funny. I'm happy.

PS. You got it though. "Dime" was the magic word. Would still like to know what that black thing is that was in the pan.
