Hey guys,

I recently changed my grille to the aftermarket grille with the large mercedes emblem and today I was going to change the hood star to the flat emblem but when I pulled my release level the hood pops, but I don't see the handle that extends out of the grille, please help as I'm going nuts, thanx guys.

Sorry to hear about your problem, I can't help you there, but I was curious- where did you buy your grill?

Did you get the Schatz grille? I just installed mine the other day and there are no problems. There is an opening in the round opening where you put the star. The handle pops out of that when you release the hood from within the car. Don S.

When removing the stock stick star emblem, twist the part under the hood counter clockwise and you should be able to take it out from the top of the hood.

Here's a pic of my custom CF hood badge.
