***Convertible top HELP***

hey guys so I am having problems with my convertible top as the title says. I have done the search and have read all the treads. last weekend i took my trunk apart and replaced the relay bu that did nothing and i am having the same exact symptoms as before.
1. when i press the roll bar button i hear a click, but nothing happens
2. when i press the roof button nothing happens(although i can make the windows go up and down using top button)
3. my pump has oil and although it was low, it only needed a little oil to be added.

please guys i need some insight on this and how to fix it!
thanks for everyone's help!
we should also get one with good info and make it a sticky for future referencing

Hey thanks for the fast reply,
There is no blinking what so ever (but it still lights up when you turn the light on). What is the roll bar reset?

rollbar reset is simply holding the button in the up position till you hear the "click" then you should be able to lower to the retracted position. A fast blink is good in that it shows an open micro switch. There are several but the common ones are the luggage cover being forgotten and left open, trunk lock is bad, and top cover. If the rollbar wont move at all then make sure that new relay is good and that it's installed correctly. You can visually verify the wires to the top cover by opening manually, and checking by the hinge on the pass side. They are pitifully small gauge and break here. I think they are pink and brown but dont quote me. I know of no way to check the trunk lock other than to jumper the switch or replace. Make sure if you override the switch that the trunk is closed. Any top movement with it open will be met with a VERY $$$ sound and ..Good luck

Ohhhh... well if no blink at all, I could only guess at a power issue... maybe a bad fuse? I dont mean just look at them but take a reading with the fuse installed to make sure you have power across it. If its a slow steady blink (forgive if you already answered that) then I can only guess at the relay or computer has gone. Ill warn you that computer is a pricey one. Best sourced through a salvage yard if you end up needing one. Think they bout $1200 through the dealer. Salvage should be closer to the $200 mark. Rollbar and the top both share that relay and computer. Dealer can run on the star machine and you might get lucky with a code??? unfortunately they seem more interested in throwing the kitchen sink at it!
