Proper Wheel Offset

I have searched the forums but have been unable to find an answer to my question:

I plan on purchasing a set of staggered wheels (18x8.5F and 18x9.5R) but need to know which offset(s) will work.

The wheels are Mandrus Regenmeisters and are available with offsets (mm) of 25, 32, & 43 for the front and 25, 35, and 53 for the rear. I would like to maximize my front track width and minimize the rear if possible.

I am fairly certain the 32F and 35R would work, would it be possible to go with 25F and 53R? If so does anyone know if the wheels will stick out from the fenders?

Thanks.

if these are your options your best choice would be going with the 32/35 offset!

Is there a calculation for figuring out offset?

How would I know what kind of offset to get for a car with 18 x 8 wheels and 18 x 10 wheels?

I plan on running this set up but I want to make sure I get the right offset for the back so I dont run too wide out back and beyond my fenders. Also, what exactly is offset, I have an idea but if someone could explain it to me that would be great.

Thanks

think of it this way a 0 offset means that the hub mounting surface is even with the centerline of the wheel. positive means the hub mounting surface is out more (towards the street). a negative number means the hub mounting surface is in more (towards the brakes or back of the rim). hope that helps.
you can always add a spacer to reduce a positive offset, but there is no cheap fix for an offset to small
