The previous owner of my CLK 430 told me that a cell phone originally came with the car. Unfortunately, when he sold the car to me he couldn't find the phone, so I went home without it. Can anyone tell me if the car did originally come with a phone? If so, does anyone have a picture of one so I can see what I missed out on?

The phone should have been underneath, inside the center console. You didn't miss out on much, as if I remember correctly, the phone is analog and can no longer work.

You missed out on nothing but an outdated phone that no longer works. Search "V60 phone upgrade" and you will find all the info you need. You will most likely need to update your PSE, change cradle or add adapter tail, and source either an old v60 phone that is digital not analog or a bluetooth puck and add a bluetooth phone.

Thanks, guys. This is good news. I couldn't help but feel somewhat cheated when the guy sprung the news on me at the last minute that he couldn't find the phone. Hey, if it was analog phone, and no longer works with today's systems, then I'm not missing out on anything!

Here's another related question. The phone charger that came with my T-Mobile G-1 doesn't fit in the Euro-styled cigarette lighters found in both my MBs. What are some "work arounds" that you all have discovered?
