Will these rims fit? Tire size suggestions?

Front and Rear
* Size: 18x8
* Offset: 35mm
* Backspacing: 5.91"
* Bolt Pattern: 5-112
* Rec. Tire Size: 225/40-18
* Weight: 22.0lbs.
* Finish: Silver w/Machined Lip
* Construction: 1pc. Low Pressure
The "important notes" given were that "18x8 with ET35 or less will give wide track look on the front." What does that really mean? Will I be able to lower the car an inch in the future without rubbing? Will OEM center caps fit this?
As for tire size, Tirerack says this 225/40ZR18 XL. I just want to make sure this is the best size , I know there's some play in the tire width, I just don't understand the advantages of mounting a wider/thinner tire on the same rims.
This is a bit off topic but when I do lower I'll probably use these

Eibach Pro-Kit Spring Set, Avg Low 1.2"F 1.2"R
Will I need a camber kit to get a good alignment?
Thanks
