It's a pity you've lost interest.

A lot of time and money has been spent on the car and it's nearly done. You should have one last push to finish, this car could be great if the effort was made!

Is that another project in the Autumn that you'll be working on, or when work will resume on your CLK?

Supercharged CLK430 street/show car
Impact strip on the sides

What did you do to shave the impact strip on the sides and make everything flush? I shaved mine and had metal welded in place of the plastic impact strip but there is still a very small lip from how the metal body panel was pressed and it gives the car a very slight body line. Did you hammer it down or did you just use alot of filler and blend it towards the window?
Thanks
