Thumbs up Sweet!

Ok, while I'm not intentionally trying to make this sound like a plug, there is no way around it. Evosport Stage II Suspension is awesome!

For those of you in Orange County familiar with the Trabuco Canyon area, there is a nice side street that is a series of downhill S-curvers. Don't get my wrong, maxing my car out at 53 around tight angle, 1 lane (2-way) curves was nice, but today getting to for the first time "push" the limits was awesome.

Let's start out by saying that at no time whatsoever did my car ever go below 60 mph. For the most part it was 70mph turns. I'd simply grip the wheel at the beginning of the turn and as I steer through it, give it more gas to push the car in the intended direction. Back and forth, left and right, I truly got to do some of my best driving today. Even my girlfriend who normally would hit me and tell me to slow down at 45 on those turns (you used to feel them), was smiling with delight... And gripping the oh-sh*# bar as hard as she could... But she became to trust the car through each turn. It's unbelievable. 6 hrs later, I'm still ecstatic about this. To make it better, this road is completely surrounded by beautiful trees that form a canopy 20 feet above the ground. I wish I could describe it better, but I'm simply left with my jaw dropped open.

Thanks Simon for pointing me in the right direction. I now trust my car the way I trust my feet while walking.

Sounds good Mach430. What exactly does the Evosport Stage II Suspension consist of?

Special materials found at UFO crash sites... Including:
Koni Adjustables, H&R Shocks, Eibach Sway Bars (Equal to size of 55, however I don't know if they're made of the same material).

I can't wait to see the difference when I finally get 19s and SO3s on it!

I will definetly be getting the Evosport suspension on my CLK 55 when it comes in. I was looking on the evosport website and noticed that there is no Stage II suspension for the CLK 55, there is only a Stage I but the CLK 320/430 both can get the Stage II. What are the reasons for this? I also noticed the same thing for the E55. Is this because the AMG's already come with whats included in the Stage II evosport suspension?

Stage I: Sport Springs, Adjustable Dampners for Coupe*
Stage II (CLK/E 320/430 Only): Sport Springs, Adjustable Dampners, Sway Bars (28mm Fr, 18mm Rr) for Coupe*

Also it denotes that they offer "Thinner spring pads optional ($25/set) and may be used to further decrease ride height." Does anyone know how much of an extra decrease in drop there is aside from the already 1 inch drop from the Stage I?

Thanks.

I got about a 1.7 inch drop using the suspension (430). I believe each step down in the spring pads is 4 mm.... 430s come with a 4 in front and 3 in rear. I don't know about 55s. I may change mine to 2/1 later, but for now it's fine.

As for the Stage II, a 55 with Stage I is Stage II... They already have the thicker swaybars, however I don't know if they are as stiff (metal compound?)

Yes, the 55's have the larger sway bars, so the Stage I kit is springs and dampners only.
