Ben, have you any idea 'bout the supersprint's tip?
How many different exhaust tip will they have and what kind?

This is the only V8 208 CLK SS muffler that will reach the US:

They do make the Viper tip in Europe, but it is not being imported:

On a positive note, SS makes a performance resonator:

I'll probably take the resonator and keep my AMG exhaust which looks 100% better.

I wonder if the Eisenmann Race Exhaust & the SS performace resonator would be too loud of a combo for a Benz?

I know one way to find out!

It's only get a little louder, with more of a different tone, by changing to a Performance Resonator. If you are happy with the volume of the Race muffler, then it should be fine.

Ben,
do you think there would be much of a change in the sound of my stock exhaust with the SS performance resonator? I'm looking for something a little louder and slighter deeper, but nothing that will wake the family up when I start it in the morning in the garage

How easy are they to install?

any ETA?

Thanks!

Changing just the resonator will probably be a very minor (if any) change. We have the SS exhaust on our 540, and I have yet to hear someone complain about the sound.

SS exhausts have one of the best fit and finish in the industry.

If you dont want to spend that much money you can just cut ur stock resonator out and put a straight pipe for like 40 bucks, it will sound a little louder than stock but not too loud. My friend did a dual straight pipe setup, no resonator, no muffler on his 02 E55 AMG, sounds rediculously loud, kinda like Harley Davidson, but it sounds really really good.

Eisenmann Tips on the CLK

Does the Eisenmann Tips say "Eisenmann" on them? I see some that says "RET-Sport". Is this correct?

BTW....the only Supersprint Exhaust coming for the CLK to the US looks like our stock CLK exhausts. Of course it will outperform our stock one tho Will they not have a dual tip version?

Thanks,
Rob
