Gas Mileage and 18" Rims on CLK320

clk 320 2002

Gas Mileage and 18" Rims on CLK320

Was considering the putting on some Lorisner LM5 rims:
18X8.5 FRONT and 18X9.5 REAR with Pirelli P7000 225/40/18 FRONT and 255/35/18 REAR
And wanted to know gas mileage and performace decrease if noticeable?
Thanks.. also how is road noise with larger rims?

Used to be a CLK430

I just installed 19" wheels and have noticed a HUGE increase in road noise, and am currently testing mileage, should have an update by this evening as I will fill up then.

I guess it depends how heavy your wheels are. i have 18inch brabus and they are like cement blocks. I lost about 50-60 miles to the tank.

Update:
Looks like my gas mileage has decreased by approx. 1 MPG, not a great loss. Keep in mind that my wheels weigh almost exactly the same as stock!
