Just lowered with Carlsson

I got my car back today after having the Carlsson springs and shocks installed and I'm still grinning! The car initially felt pretty harsh, but after only 100 miles I'm either getting used to it or it is starting to "settle" in. In conjunction with new Sumitomo HTR ZII's this set up is perfect for my taste. Very tight in the corners and quite comfortable down the road.

I will finally add pictures to the CLK picture thread once the sun comes up tomorrow!

Thank you Ben and EvoSport!

Hey, you finally got it on! That's awesome. To answer your question, it's a combination of both the springs settling, and you getting used to it. Give it another few-hundred miles, and it should be everything I hyped it up to be over the phone

Fyi, different springs/shocks can take different amounts of time to settle in. It also varies depending on how hard you drive the car, as you need to push the springs/shocks into new positions in order for it to settle further. My girlfriend just put coilovers on her car, and after 200 miles it had not yet settled. I spent 15 minutes doing donuts, and it was like a whole different ride

Thanks Ben! It will probably take a little while for mine to settle in as I do not drive it everyday. Only on nice days and sometimes at night when I get out of my office early. But wow this set-up is fun. I had Eibach and Bilstein Sports on my 400E and this is already an improvement in ride quality with the same cornering ability. It might be better I just have not found out yet. Maybe time for a few donuts! lol

Thanks again and next set of tires I try will be the SO-3' or Toyo's!
