Random Head Lamp malfunction
I have a 2000 clk 430. When I turn the head lights on I get a malfunction about one of the lamps needs to be replaced.
I have noticed ...and dont call me crazy.... that if I happen to open then close the trunk before I get in the car then turn on the head lamps I do not get this malfunction.
heh.
needless to say there are no burned out lamps and that is why this is making me so crazy....
any advice?

I get this randomly when I brake sometimes, and it happens more often when it's mid 90s+ outside.
If I had to guess (and I still haven't fixed my problem because I'm too lazy), a corroded bulb contact that needs to be cleaned. Also, probably check for secured wiring to the housings and sockets.
