Tire Help
guys, I have 99 clk320. When I purchased the car used, it came with miglia 1000 rims on it. On the left front and rear the tires are Bridgestone Potenza 215/50r 17 91h 340a and on the right front and rear are Hankook Ventus 215/50r17 91h 460a. I think the einstein that I purchased the car from bought tires from side set to side set instead of front set and rear set.
I have no idea why he had 215/50 on there. I plan on purchasing all 4 new tires. should I stick with 215/50? any recommendations? Thank you.

Hmmm. Original is 205/55-16, so the 215's are one size up. You can probably get away with that, if what you want is a larger tire. I would not go any larger. No accounting for why the tires were arranged the way they are, but you would be better off with four of the same kind.
Slow leaks are most often the valve stem....from my experience anyway.
When buying, shop around both online and in your area. A lot of stores are starting to match the online pricing with the shipping included. It's a more level playing field out there now.

DC1225, 17" rims on W208 should have 225/45 on them. If you run 50 or 55, your speedo will actually be showing lower speed than actual, due to the larger diameter. This link will also help out to find what tyres/rims combination suits our W208.
