Recent repairs FYI...
This forum has been very useful, informative and interesting...sometimes funny. Posts over the last few months ocassional inculde some problem that have been fixed under warranty. Reading the posts helped me make sure I looked for things that needed fixing. I have a 2000 Black Clk Coupe with 30,000 miles. I'll be picking my car up after 5 days at the dealer to fix the following...
1. The dash was creaking/flexing every now and then. Problem, cracked dash...I inspected because of previous posts...found none but it was flexing. Solution - Dealer Replaced entire dash.
2. Sunroof would not hold programing...took it in three times, would work ok for a day or so....Solution - New control module?
3. Problem: Driver seat began squeaking and bouncing like an army jeep. Solution: Service rep said seat backs/bottoms(?) were leather in the 2000 model..they squeak over time. Solution: This is great..replace both seats with 2001 version so they matched. 2001 version has cloth where squeeky leather was(?)
4. Problem: Right side passenger door electornics went on the blink..mirror, seat adjusters etc. would not work. Solution: Replace module for that door.
5. Problem: While the CLK was in for repair I had the pleasure of driving their loaner...a 2001 Chevy Malibu...good god.
I guess that's it, thought someone might benefit from the info.
