I removed my radiator on my 99 CLK430 a month ago to replace it. I finally got some time to install the new one and have everything connected except for one connection. On the drivers side of the radiator, right above the radiator drain plug- there is a fitting that a hose should be connected to. I cannot figure out what hose connects to that place.
Can someone please help me out?

Thats your radiator draincock fitting.The draincock is valve. You install a hose on the fitting to drain the coolant into a container.

 

correct, connect hose there to drain and avoid a mess!
