2002 CLK430 Bose Audio Issues

2002 CLK430 Bose Audio Issues
I swear I think this car is human. It seems every day there is some new issue with this car, albeit most of them minor, still annoying. The newest one starting this morning is the audio from the radio is super bad distorted with almost no volume. Thing is the system worked PERFECT when I drove it last night. Car has the factory NAV system with the radio /CD/ NAV all in the same unit.
I'm hearing it could possibly be the BOSE amp. Have not had a chance to locate it yet as I'm at work, but from reading on here it seems to be in the trunk on the drivers side. Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so any suggestions? Dealership wants 1k (as in thousand) for amp although they are all over Ebay for $150.00. Kind of hate buying one and not being 100% sure this is the problem. Any help would be VERY greatly appreciated...

i switch out my system to aftermarket deck, amp, and speaker. let me know if you need the oem amp and oem bose speaker. i will sale the amp to you for $220 shipped in perfect working condition. thanks. BTW ebay is not oem, fake one.

Hi. Thanks for the reply and offer of your Bose pieces. Kind of strange I went out this morning and the sound system was working fine. Thats what I was referring to as it works fine for 3 or 4 days and then goes back to the real bad distortion and almost zero volume for a day or so and then back to normal. I'll keep my fingers crossed and see if it will hold up for awhile.
One more thing, the amps listed on Ebay are OEM Bose amps they are just used ones taken out of vehicles such as yours. There are probably 20 or 30 listed right now anywhere from $100 to $300.
