bought my car at 69,000 miles and currently have 72,000 on there, service A is almost up. not sure if the previous owner did a 60,000 miles tuneup. i want to do a 90,000 miles tune up what do i need to buy, my friend is a certified auto machanic that will help me do it? any suggestion? or tip on what to buy? thanks

just reset the service A.
Make sure your filter and spark plugs are good...
maybe flush the transmission or radiator or engine flush...

how would i know if the spark plugs are still good? shouldnt i replace them since they are like 9 years old now?

usually the car will hesitate, and another way, u can remove em and look at em...
i would replace em if i was u

where beside the dealer, should i buy the oil change and tune up part for cheap?

MB recommended intervals:
Brake flush - every 2 years
coolant flush - every 3 years
air filter - every 45k or 4 years (might be 60k on your car...can't remember)
fuel filter - every 60k or 4 years
Spark plugs - every 100k or 5 years

man for me, i go to jiffy lube by my house.. they treat my car like gold, i never had a prob at all.... they are very careful with my ride.
as far for the tune up, i go to my mechanic who knows about german cars and i trust him the most.
unless u bougth the extended warranty then i would go to dealer
