When I had my BMW 3 series cabriolet, I bought a tube of 'Original BMW Gummi-Pflege Rubber Care'. It comes in a 75ml tube (e.g. about the size of a small tube of tooth paste) and used sparingly as instructed, it has lasted to date (even though cabriolets have lots of rubber rubber weatherstripping to protect).
The BWM part numer is: 82 14 9 407 045.
I just looked at the tube to see if they mentioned it's ingredients (sorry, no dice).
Only states that it protects, keeps rubber pliable and prevents freeze up.
It is clear in color and has the consistency of a paste. More then likely a silicone with some additives.
I'm a fan of Zymol waxes.....because its so easy to apply and gets the job done. I'm not familiar with their rubber protections.
You might check out whats available at your local hardware store too.
BTW, I noticed that some folks have an issue of their headlight lens, coloring/dulling etc.. Not sure if getting a plastic vs. glass lens has to do with model years or Halogen vs. Xenon (e.g my 2001 has Xenon with a glass lens which are still crystal clear).
My 3 series had a plastic rear window, which scratched/colored/ dulled with time.
To restore optical clarity, I used Meguires clear plastic cleaner (#10), followed with their polish (#17).

I think most detailers swear by 303 Aerospace Protectant. Not only can it restore grungy looking rubber but it also has UV protection built in to max the life and look of your seals and whatnot.
I just bought a 32oz bottle to try it out; it can also be used as a tire dressing, on non metallic interior trim...lots of useful applications with this product so needless to say I'm excited to try it out.
