Dont you think it will be too much to make them chrome?? I think it looks good with the black but I love the dark copper look that mine came with as well..Chrome would just be too loud and make it look like those cheap plastic chrome strips that people buy at Autozone.

here is some info that might help sourcig them from a junk yard or something:
all years 320 models 98-2002 and 98-99 430 models come with the copper and a little chrome piece on the ottom of the copper, they are shaped differently also, they have a groove in them where it goes from copper to chrome.
2000-2002 430 models and all 55 models(2001-2002) will come with the more modern looking none grooved all coppered color.
I just changed mine to the copper ones and am about to have them wrapped in black. they are very easy to remove you just have to make sure when you pull ot the rear quarter window trims you dont worpp them. the rear quarter window and the bottom front door ones just snap off and as for the top front door trip piece you have to pull out the rubber weather strip and there are 9 black plastic knotts (size 10) that you take off and the trip comes out.
