clk320 - 2001 - Check Engine LIght

I need some help from you guys:
2001 clk320 -
1.check engine light came on
2.blue smoke coming out of exhause smelling of gas
3.replaced MAF
4. car still running bad.
Thinking if may be 02 sensors or EGR valve.

replaced MAF
bought OBDII to read codes but obd port not working. Is there a fuse associated with it? I tested OBD reader on my other car and worked fine.

Please help.

What can it be?

OBD Fuse -?

Is there a fuse or relay associated with the OBDII port? I bought an OBDII reader but does not work when I plug it in the port. I was told by Autozone that a fuse be be blown.
where do I find the fuse? I pulled out each fuse in 3 fuse boxes in the clk320 and all are fine!
fuse box # 1 engine well
fuse box #2 by driver side panel
fuse box #3 in trunk.

Thanks.

Yes, the Data Link Connector is fused (see attached diagram and diagnostic info.)

Note: Verify the correct fuse # from the fuse chart found inside the fuse box cover. See pages 244 and 245 in you owners manual.

However, if you have a multimeter (reads voltage and resistance) and know how to use one, you can verify that the DLC power and ground is OK.

Thanks Serndipity for the information. I was determined to find that blown fuse (7.5) and found it. I replaced the fuse, OBDII port now working and received the following error. P0150 - 02 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1).

Can anyone tell me which one of the four it is on my clk320?

Once my car is up and running, I'm going to post from A - Z how to trouble shoot what I am going through!

Great.

Most states use the OBD II readout for passing the emissions test. After repair, your CEL will turn off after 3 cold starts. However, there are also up to a dozen sensors that must change from 'not ready' to 'ready" status in order to pass. This will require at least a couple of hundred miles of drive time.

The following will help.

PS: Couple of years ago, I had a CEL and codes that indicated that both of my pre-cat O2 sensors were bad. Here is MA, the entire emissions system is warrantied for 8 years/80,000 miles, so they were replaced at no cost by the dealer. Turned out the failure was caused by bad gasoline throughout the Boston area, during the winter to summer transition. The dealer told me that they had already done a couple of hundred of O2 replacements.

While you're at it, I believe changing out both sides is usually recommended.
