Hello 2 all help with stereo
Hello! Im new to the MBworld. I just picked up a 01 430 and Im looking to swap out the stock deck. I don't think i have the bose stereo because there's no bose label over the speakers. The car does have a cd changer in the boot so does this mean I have bose but its just not labeled? An if its not the bose setup should i or do i still go about changing the stock deck and speakers this way http://www.marcusfitzhugh.com/CLK/DIY/headunit2.html

Is there anything wrong with your current system? Do you want more volume?
Do you want base? Do you want a cool looking system?
The Standard unit puts out good sound and has alot of features that are hard to replicate. I'd keep the standard head unit, that keeps all the features and do a speaker and amp up grade. 2 Earthquake xtreme bass 600w.4 amp, 1 for main speakers and 1 for 2 subs. And speaker to match. It looks standard but will blow you way.
Thats what I'd do but I like a standard look.
Just remember its hard to get cd change, dash and steering wheel all to work together.
