HELP PLEASE!! ABS/BAS

I know many of you have had this issue. I read in the DIY section that the fix is usually just the brake switch. I bought a new switch from Mercedes and replaced it but the lights are still on. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to unhook the battery? Why has this solution worked for everyone else?

There is a DIY for the reset. I may be wrong but....

Turn the car on
Turn steering wheel all the way to the left (Counter clock-wise)
now turn the steering wheel all the way to the right (clockwise)
and now turn the wheel back to the center.
Turn the car off and restart it
The error should turn off

BUT..please check this DIY again

Ok thanks. I do have another question about the install. The new switches are adjustable. My old one was not. How do I know where to set the plunger?
