A few questions

I have a 98clk320. I did a full amg bodykit conversion including rims, but the car doesnt seem to sit like a 430 should.

Does the 430 have lower/different spring heights and ride stiffness?

Also, are there aftermarket springs that give the car a softer ride but slightly lower height?

If I am not wrong, I think the CLK 430 springs are stiffer and lower.

Try Eibach spring for a more comfortable spring compared to H&R.
Hope this helps

eibach

so what are the main differences between eibach and h&r?

Also, will eibach springs make the car sit more like a 430?

it may also sit differently because the clk 430 has the v8 and weighs more. just a guess, but is it the front of the car that doesnt seem to sit right?

The amount of the drop and the ride quality. Eibach is known for a slighlty more comforatable ride at the expense of ride height and relative handling.

In a 430 the Eibach springs drop the front and back the same amount (1.2 inches) & the H&R's drop the front 1.4 and the back 1.3. I would go for H&R's sport springs.

Get eibach sportline if you want to lower your car more. It lowers the vehicle between 1.65" and 2.25"
I have an eibach springs in my garage but I decided to get the H&R instead. I dont like my car to sit too low.

Do you have a picture of your car?
Have you played with the spring pads? Try to put pad #1 at the rear (I believe #1 is gives the lowest height)

edit: How many finger gaps do you have on the rear?
