rear window shade

Hey All,
At the end of last summer on a really hot day, I closed my door only to hear the driverside of the rear window shade collapse. The plastic end piece that houses the roller mechanism came off. The motor is fine just the end piece. The dealer of course advised me that the whole shade would have to be replaced (1,300 for just the shade). I am tempted to try and glue it back on but does anyone know a better option?

thank you in advance!

Same thing happened to mine. I used crazy glue, and it has held fine for a few months now...

Hey. I will try that to. It really seems to only be used for backseat passangers heads in the sun. Does't really cool the car down, just frustrating when **** stops functioning!
